First time over 30 hours of training

The last two weeks I have been on a (skiing-)trainingcamp with the Austrian Military Team. It was 2 weeks of hard training and my first time ever that I have trained more than 30 hours a week.

Staying in St.Jakob i.W., were we could use the last kilometers of (artificial) snow in the region, most of our training consisted of skiing, mixed with strength workouts and a few a bit more intense trainings.
The first week I came to a total training time of about 21 hours. As I felt quite well after this first week, my plan was to increase the amount a bit for the second week. Therefore my second week was a bit more demanding. With a total of 32,5 hours it was the most timeconsuming training week ever in my carreer.
Although most of the training was, more or less, low intense training I felt really tired after (and during) that week. Especially on wednesday, after 4 and 2 hours (and 95km) of skiing, I was really happy only to have a few meters to the restaurant and to my bed from the skiing track. Now I know what effort it needs to manage a skiing race like the Vasaloppet, which I want to take part next year.

In the next pictures you can see a schematic overview of the two training weeks:

Since this week I am in Borlänge again for one week before I am leaving to Portugal with the Austrian Team for an orienteering camp.
On sunday I will compete in the "Maserloppet" a 42km classic-skiing competition - I hope there is some power left in my arms for this event.

By the way, I finally managed to install Mats Troeng's Digital Orienteering Map Archive on my server, so from know on I will publish my orienteering maps under following link:
